During this holiday season believe in the power of the hearts. "Kids' Heart of Glenview" ....."Dinner and a Movie" took place at Glen 10 movie theatres on Monday, November 28. There, attendees were able to see a movie and taste the amazing cuisine of the "Taste of the Glen".

The "Kids' Heart of Glenview" is motivated and facilitated by our Glenview kids. Glenbrook South Student councils have given their support. Parents and Children of all ages attended.

The Glenview Giving Foundation hosted the 4th Annual Heart of Glenview on February 7th, 2011 at a "NEW VENUE," the Glen 10 Theaters. The event celebrated "Best Pictures" with video clips, live entertainment, and themed decorations in each theater. The films that were celebrated and the theaters for each charity were as follows:
Glenview GIving Foundation: Chicago, Theater 1
Glenkirk: Sound of Music, Theater 2
Sister Paulanne's Needy Fund: Titanic, Theater 3
Josselyn Center: The Sting, Theater 4
Youth Services of Glenview: Gone with the Wind, Theater 5
Wesley Childcare: West Side Story, Theater 6
Family Services Center: My Fair Lady, Theater 7
Clearbrook: Oliver, Theater 8
Perk Center Cafe: Casablanca, Theater 9
Northfield Township Food Pantry: Rocky, Theater 10

During this holiday season believe in the power of the hearts. This year, we announced our new event : "Kids' Heart of Glenview" ....."Dinner and a Movie" which took place at Glen 10 movie theatres on Monday, November 29. There, attendees were able to see a movie and taste the amazing cuisine of the "Taste of the Glen".
The "Kids' Heart of Glenview" was motivated and facilitated by our Glenview kids. Glenbrook South Student councils have given their support. Parents and Children of all ages attended. Over 1200 tickets were sold for this inaugural "Kids Heart of Glenview" and the event was a big success.

Kids Heart of Glenview Logo
The Kids Heart of Glenview logo designer is Sarune Pucinskaite, a student at Glenbrook South High School, class of 2011. Sarune is a young passionate artist who plans to pursue art in the future. She has taken numerous classes at South, the school of the Art Institute of Chicago, and other private art academies. Sarune has proven herself as an outstanding student artist and designer. She was selected to be part of the Advanced Placement Studio Art class in the fall. In May, 2010, Sarune was awarded the Glenbrook South's Art Department, Outstanding Junior Artist of the Year in Drawing . Sarune has been elected as the Art Club President for the 2010-2011 school year and will lead the group in many exciting and creative endeavors and adventures! This young lady's talents and dedication to the arts will only continue to grow and fluorish.

The 3rd Annual Heart of Glenview was another maginificent night with a sampling of the incredible cuisine of Glenview's finest, most caring and giving restaurants that have come forward to support these hometown charities. Without the support of countless businesses, residents, children and the village, we could never have put together this event AGAIN, for a third year, with literally no overhead. Since EVERYTHING is donated that means that every penny raised goes to charity. That as you well realize is remarkable, from a remarkable community - Glenview.

airbrush tattoos, H and H
entertainment spinning the
tunes and a childrens gift
bag valued at over 25 dollars,
given to each child. The Glen
Town Center restaurants: Bravo!
Cucina Italiana, Chop it up,
El Jardin, Flight, Mitchell's
Fish Market, Noodles &
company, Ra Sushi and Salerno's
offered a delectable tasting
of their amazing cuisine.
All proceeds from this enchanted
evening went to benefit the
charities of the Glenview
Giving Foundation: Clearbrook,
Connections for the Homeless,
Glenkirk, Northfield Township
Food Pantry, Sister Paulanne's
Needy Fund, Wesley Child Care
and Youth Services of Glenview
/Northbrook.
